Photography is an easy way to create a record of the way things look as you go about the task of discovering what the world is about. Did you ever get to an awesome place and feel a twinge of despair because you don’t have a camera with you?
When I arrived in Yosemite National Park in 1969, I momentarily rued the fact that I’d left my Brownie Instamatic back east! Moments later, the universe presented to me the amelioration that the absence of a camera could heighten my visual memory.
I got the point and that was it for rueful thoughts throughout my two months at Yosemite!
Nonetheless, you can bet your bottom dollar that the next time I’m in the vicinity of Tuolumne Meadows, or Bridalveil Falls, I’ll be packing my Canon and ready to shoot!
